Windmill Series

Today, I have for you a set of 5 windmills. Actually, it is 1 windmill in 5 different views & lights. I will be submitting this series for a photo contest at NWOSU, but I thought that you might like to see them as well. I think my absolute favorite is the 1st one. I really love the pink & purple colors that this sunset created. Can you believe 4 of these 5 images were shot on the same evening? It's amazing what difference 30 minutes & a few tweaks of the camera settings will make in the light & the way a photograph looks! I also love the 2nd one. It reminds me of those opening or closing scenes in the older westerns where they showed a wide sweeping prairie shot with pale light. The next thing you would see is someone riding horseback towards a little farm house. The middle photograph probably looks familiar to anyone who's seen my portfolio. I've always liked the simplicity of this image. The last two in the frame here I like for the pale calming colors & the way the light bounced off the clouds.
