Changes For 2012

UPDATED!!!

I have "officially" been in business for a year now. In that time I have learned a great deal about many aspects of the photography business, continued to educate myself, and increased my skills. Therefore, it's time for some changes that will take effect April 1, 2012. Truth be told, it is a pretty big overhaul of my business & may take some time to work out all of the kinks, but pricing, ordering, products and policies all will change.

Here's an overview:

  • Sitting fees with a signed model release will be $50. If you wish to not sign a model release, the sitting fee will be $300.
  • I may offer 20 minute mini sessions from time to time with 5 edited images on a custom disk with case. Pricing will be $100 with model release & $150 without a model release. Prints can still be ordered for these sessions.
  • Sessions can still be paid for during the online booking process or in person at time of session.
  • Wedding pricing & structure will be changing. A new .pdf file will be online soon.
  • Digital files for personal use will be sold individually for $50 each for between one to nineteen files or you can purchase the entire session for $1000 which includes a second DVD in the case with a slideshow.
  • A low resolution companion file for personal internet usage will be included.
  • There will be special pricing for digital files with print purchases.
  • A DVD slideshow can now be purchased in custom case for $150.
  • All prints will now be matted & mounted - excluding wallets. This creates a much greater input cost, so prices have increased.
  • Portraiture items will be digitally matted & mounted.
  • Fine Art items with a mat board will be hinge mounted.
  • Toning, paper types & coatings will now be at my discretion.
  • I am no longer cropping photos to fit traditional frames, however the print including the mat will be sized to fit common frames.
  • All products will be A La Carte, no packages.
  • Image viewing will be in person unless other arrangements are made & images will be posted in your password protected gallery only after viewing appointment.
  • Viewing appointments will be 5 to 10 business days after session.
  • More payment options are available. Online payments can be made with a credit or debit card or via Paypal. In person payments can be made via cash or check and now credit & debit cards as well.
  • Sales tax still applies to all in state orders.
  • I will no longer place an order with my lab until full payment is received.
  • All orders will be delivered to me first to ensure the quality. I will then mail or deliver the order to you or the order can be picked up directly from me.
  • Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for your order to arrive after payment.
  • All fine art will be hand signed, titled, and numbered.
  • All blog posts will be here and no longer at blogspot.com
  • A new comprehensive .pdf file which covers most all questions will be available soon. (Hopefully sometime in April.)

  • New pricing for portraiture prints are as follow (Please order by intended frame size. Print will be appropriately sized for mat.):

    16 wallets for $20 or 48 wallets for $48
    5X7 mat $15
    8X10 mat $20
    11X14 mat $35
    16X20 mat $80
    20X30 mat $150
    24X36 mat $200
    30X40 mat $250

    Collages - Square & Long
    5X5 $15
    8X8 $20
    10X10 $25
    12X12 $45
    16X16 $80
    20X20 $125
    30X30 $175

    5X15 $30
    10X30 $100

    5X10 $20
    10X20 $50

I will be adding more products in the near future.

I would like to remind everyone that all photographers images are copyright protected. I love giving my clients a sneak peek of their session on Facebook & the blog page. I am fine with the images (which are low resolution & not suitable for printing) being used for profile pictures from these posting. However, I ask that you do not remove the logo on the image or in any other way alter the image. This has been a problem in the past & if the problem persists I will have to eliminate this service.

Please also be aware that prices do change. I try to do this only once a year, but please contact me for current pricing. If prices have changed since your session it is subject to the current prices. I do not use retro-active pricing.

At this juncture of my career I am focusing on my fine art photography work. I will continue to book a limited number of portraiture sessions each month, so appointments may need to be scheduled farther into the future than before. Contact hours will continue to be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday. Sessions are still by appointment only and after hours sessions may be possible.
